the deck shoe

In Devon’s South Hams, we have been making sustainable leather
footwear for over 30 years. We make our shoes by hand in our Totnes
workshop, where we also have our high street shop.

Our deck shoes have been designed for you to enjoy every day, both on
and off the water. By combining quality materials, traditional techniques
and experience. Offering sizes that fit you better, we
expect our shoes to serve you well for many
years. They are repairable, and can be fully
resoled when the time comes. We offer a
range of leathers for you to choose from.
Each skin has been hand selected and
has its own particular qualities in terms
of colour, texture and finish.

We offer half sizes and different width fittings. We are also able to modify our patterns to give you a bit of extra space should you need it. We are usually able to offer this service to remote order customers as well as those who visit us
here in Devon. Simply select

ilga soles

Whilst we offer a broad range of soles to suit your needs, for deck shoes we recommend the Ilga sole in either Honey or Brown. Produced in Italy, it offers a
non-slip, non-marking sole with
a hollow construction that is
both comfortable and flexible
with a fine tread.

We hope you enjoy choosing a combination of leathers to suit your tastes or even your crew colours.
You can even choose the colour of your leather insole. Due to the special construction of our shoes this ‘insole line’ shows on the outside of the shoe as a stripe between your leather uppers and soling materials. We offer black or tan insole leather as standard but you can also choose from the main swatch if you fancy something a little bit different.
